Located in the heart of South Jersey approximately half way between Philadelphia and the Wildwoods. The company has one fire station that services 44.3 square miles of New Jersey's third largest city in area with a population over 29,000.

About the Department
The Fire Department consists of one career chief, eleven career and forty-five volunteer firefighters.
The apparatus maintained by the department consist of four class "A" pumpers, one 100 foot and one 75 foot quint truck (aerial truck with a pump), one brush truck, one heavy rescue truck, one light wagon, and six support vehicles. In addition, there is a fire safety house for educational programs. In 2011, the Fire Department answered over 1000 alarms with an average of 30 members responding per alarm.

History of the Millville Fire Department
It all began soon after Millville became a township in 1801 when the Millville Union Fire Company was incorporated on February 16th, 1832. Years later on July 18, 1872, the Mulford and Reeves lumberyard fire started a sequence of events that led the local newspaper to print on April 30, 1880, an article that stated the need for an organized fire company. Two weeks later on May 14th, 1880, the Resolution Hose Co. No. 3. was formed and ultimately the Millville Fire Department.
